US TAX COURT Washington, DC
Rhonda Patriot ) Petitioner ) v. ) Docket No. 11717-00 Commissioner Internal Revenue ) Motion to Remove Counsel Respondent )
Petitioner above named herby files her Motion to remove opposing counsel from this case because of rudeness.
1. J. Craig Young is the District Counsel assigned to this case.
2. Petitioner cannot deal with him in this case, talk to him because of his rudeness and he purposely misinformed her in a previous case.
3. In the other case, he submitted a minor pleading to her with the incorrect location for trial. Every single lawyer in this whole country could clearly see beyond any doubt that Mr. Young had made a simple typing error.
However, Patriot is not a lawyer!
4. She called him to ask about the problem. When Petitioner phoned Mr. Young for clarification he told her to figure it out for herself.
5. When Petitioner approached Mr. Young for clarification during a break in the trial proceedings, he replied, “It doesn’t matter because the Judge is going to rule in my favor anyway.”
6. After the said phone call Petitioner was very upset. She does not want to deal with Mr. Young any more. This court should not make Patriot deal with someone who has inflicted emotional distress upon her.
7. The District Counsel’s office in Greensboro has a dozen or more qualified attorneys that can handle this case. The opposing party would not be affected by granting this request.
In conclusion Petitioner requests that this matter be handled quietly and smoothly in order not to disrupt Mr. Young or his office.
Certificate of Service: I do hereby certify that on this date I sent properly a copy of this pleading to opposing counsel.
